With new season starting at the end of March, Delhi Capitals will look for changing their disastrous record in Indian Premier League.

Being one of the only three teams to have never won the IPL title, the Delhi-based franchise will have a better chance at putting a great performance next season to overcome their woeful record in this tournament.

The Delhi side managed to progress ahead of the league stage only three times in the eleven seasons so far. Back in 2012, the side made appearance in the playoffs. Since then, the Delhi-based franchise is yet to finish above sixth in the tournament.

Delhi are still the only team so far not to progress to the final, whoch speaks for their woeful record in last eleven years. However, the side has a great chance to improve their record and the decisions taken by the franchise are leading the side to a fresh start.

The franchise have changed their name from Delhi Daredevils to Delhi Capitals and made some additional changes to their technical staff. The Delhi side roped in Mohammad Kaif as the Assistant Coach for the side and appointed Dhiraj Malhotra as the CEO of the franchise.

The team had the likes of Rishabh Pant, Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer in the team and before the auction, they had bought the powerful opener Shikhar Dhawan from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Apart from Dhawan, Delhi also bought Ishant Sharma for RS 1.10 Crores to bolster their pace attack.

The Delhi-based franchise went to the auction to buy a specialist batsman and an all-arounder. With a price tag of RS 6.4 Crores on his neck, South African batsman Colin Ingram is their most expensive buy this season. The Delhi Capitals also bought Indian all-rounder Axar Patel for a sum of RS 5 Crores.

With a month remaining for the beginning of the season, Delhi Capitals have unveiled their new jersey. The Delhi side have moved from Dark blue with fair amount of red sheds as the new jersey is dominated by sky blue and the red colour has been drastically reduced.

Delhi Capitals will start their campaign against Mumbai Indians on March 24.

Later, they posted another tweet to unveil the jersey officially.
