According to the Sports Media Outlet Independent, Premier League side Chelsea are keeping close tabs on the situation of Barcelona left out Philippe Coutinho are open to a potential move for the Brazilian.

Following the departure of Cesc Fabregas in January and the possible departure of Eden Hazard in next Summer, Chelsea are desperate to bring in important reinforcements, one of which is the Barcelona number 7 Philippe Coutinho.

Philippe Coutinho became Barcelona’s most expensive signing when the Brazilian made a switch from Liverpool to the Spanish heavyweights in January last season. The former Liverpool was signed as to replace another Brazilian Neymar.

The former Liverpool man made an instant impact for the Catalan side. However, over the time the number 7 has failed to impress the Barcelona fans or the team management. His inconsistent performances got him dropped from the starting XI in a definite number of occasions.

On the other hand, after the departure of Coutinho, Liverpool under the management of Jurgen Klopp, have managed to made it to the Champions League final last season, where they lost against Real Madrid. The Reds are leading the Premier League table and are in good position to lift the trophy this season.

The Brazilian midfielder has managed to score 8 goals and assisted on 5 more occasions in all competitions this season, but he is yet to establish his spot in the starting XI, which is hard considering the quality of midfielders Barcelona have.

Eden Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for a long time now and the Belgian has never backed off from expressing his desire to play for the Whites. With the departure of former Lille man is likely to happen in summer, Maurizio Sarri is looking for few star names to strengthen the squad.

The Premier League side have managed to sign the Borussia Dortmund star Christian Pulisic and the US international will join the Blues next season. Now the English side have set their eyes on the Brazilian Coutinho, who looks unsettled in Barcelona.

Barcelona have denied to sell Coutinho in near future, however, a reasonable offer could make it happen for Chelsea, who are fully capable of affording the Brazilian.
