Real Madrid wants former boss Zinedine Zidane back at the club

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is preparing a sensational move to bring former Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane back to the club at the end of the season.

According to the Spanish news outlet Marca, Real Madrid management has decided to re-appoint the Frenchman Zinedine Zidane as Real Madrid manager. The reports also says that the president Perez has already contacted the former Los Blancos manager.

The Men in Whites have been enduring a disastrous season considering their performances in all competitions. In the past week, Real Madrid have lost all of their chances to lift a trophy at the end of the season.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is looking to bring Zidane back to the Bernabeu.

In the span of seven days, Real Madeid have crashed out of Copa Del Rey and the Champions League. Also, a 1-0 defeat against Barcelona at Bernabeu ended their league title hopes as Real Madrid hangs in 3rd position in La Liga, 12 points behind leader Barcelona.

Madrid have been piss poor this season as the Spanish giants have lost their last four home games for the first time in 21st century. The last home defeat came against Ajax as the Dutch side overcame a 2-1 defeat in first leg to make it to the Quarter Finals of Champions League.

Real Madrid came into the Round of 16 second leg after two consecutive defeat against Barcelona at Bernabeu. A 4-1 humiliation against Ajax made it worse.

A string of poor performances has made the Real Madrid fans upset and angry. Over the years, Madrid fans have been very vocal about their discontent towards players or managers. This time the targets are President Perez and manager Santiago Solari.

Solari took over the club after Julen Lopetegui was sacked earlier in the season. However, the Argentine has failed to improve Madrid’s season. After the humiliation against Ajax, Solari won’t be continuing with the side in the following season.

Zinedine Zidane is on a break from football after leaving the Madrid job despite leading the Spanish side to three consecutive Champions League glory.

With Solari leaving in the summer, Zidane’s name has popped up in Perez’s mind and the Madrid President is preparing for a move to bring the French back to Bernabeu. On the other hand, Jose Mourinho is also linked with a move back to Spanish capital.

A lot of changes is set to happen in Real Madrid this summer. It will be interesting to see to whom Madrid turn their heads for the managerial job.
