Manchester United are leading the race to get the signature of Wales international and Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale, according to Don Balon.
The possibility of former Tottenham star staying at Bernabéu looks slim after another under-par season, with top European clubs in line to sign the Real Madrid number 11.
The Wales international shone at Tottenham and later joined the Spanish side in 2013 for a record transfer fee, overtaking Ronaldo’s transfer sum. However, the 29-year old has struggled to be the talisman of the team due to injuries.
The Premier League sides Manchester United, Liverpool and Chelsea have been linked with the Wales Captain, who could be making a return to English league.
Now the Sports media outlet Don Balon has claimed that the Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has set €120 million as the asking price for the 29-year old, making it clear that Perez wants the Wales international to be sold in summer.
The signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal didn’t go well for Manchester United as the left winger has failed to leave his mark over the one and half year at Old Trafford. The Red Devils sees Bale as the perfect signing to be deployed in left side of the field.
Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho rated the 29-year old high and wanted to sign him in the last few seasons. The Red Devils are the one of the few sides who could fork out cash for such a big transfer.
It is interesting to see whether the Wales international decided to continue with the European Champions or make an exit for the Premier League giants.
