Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has run out of patience with Wales International Gareth Bale and the Madrid star could be shown the exit door in the summer.

According to the Spanish news outlet AS, the former Tottenham man will have to look for a new destination in the summer as club president Perez has lost patience with the club’s costliest signing.

Following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer, Real Madrid management had hoped that Bale would fill the shoes of the Portuguese star and become the main man of the side but the Welshman has failed to fill the void left by the five-time Ballon d’or winner.

The former Tottenham star has managed to score only 13 goals in all competitions in 2018/19. The Welshman is having a sub-par season with yet another year being hampered by the injuries.

A great start to the season was cut short by the injuries, following which the number 11 has missed out of a starting role. This is not new as the Wales international, since his arrival in 2013, has played only 58% of the possible games for Real Madrid.

The 29-year old, who has netted 101 times for Real Madrid, has remained injury prone throughout his Madrid career. The inconsistent performances this season has put the former Tottenham man below Vazquez and Vinicius Jr in the pecking order.

The lack of intensity in the game and a negative attitude on and off the pitch has triggered Los Blancos chief Perez losing his patience with the 29-year old who could be sold in the summer.

According to the reports, Real Madrid wanted to sell Gareth Bale to Manchester United in 2017 but the deal never happened. Now, the Madrid management have made up their mind to sell the former Tottenham star.
